Kittlaus co-founded Siri, the world's first virtual personal assistant, which Apple acquired in 2010. Following the acquisition, he served as Director of iPhone Apps at Apple, overseeing the Siri and speech recognition teams. In 2012, he co-founded Viv Labs, aiming to create an open AI platform enabling seamless interaction with devices and services. Samsung acquired Viv Labs in 2016, integrating its technology into Samsung products, including the Bixby voice assistant.

Before his groundbreaking work with virtual assistants, Kittlaus held leadership roles in the tech industry.
